4/3: Beach Bum Blues Night!

Time to get your blues dancing on! As part of the Beach Bum Blues weekend happening Thursday March 31st to Sunday April 3rd, Swing Dance Sunday at The Volstead will host the final dance of this blues-packed weekend.

Being part of the Lindy Hop revival, blues dancing has really taken on its own life and is considered a sub-genre of modern swing. The focus is on connection, and many have dubbed it the "slow swing dance." (Check out this great YouTube clip of some great blues dancing.) If you're interested in attending the entire weekend, check out the details below!

First time on the dance floor? Don't sweat it! The Dance Shack will be teaching a beginner swing lesson starting at 7PM. The dance floor opens up right after the lesson around 8PM. If you're not taking the lesson, check out some of their award winning cocktails!

As always, there is no cover to enter! Swing Dance Sunday is 21+. There's always plenty of street parking available.
